In 2021 a family member of ours suffered a tragic health emergency in Bali.  The doctors and nurses provided proper care, but we needed more service than the hospital was able to provide.  In the immediate aftermath of the event, we needed 24/7 patient advocacy, monitoring and assistance for our loved one, as well as English communication support.  Once our relative was able to return to her home in Bali, we needed continued 24/7 care for months.  That eventually transitioned into 8 hours of care each and finally she was able to repatriate.

 

Through our difficult process, we learned two key points:

 

   1. English speaking registered nurse care was not readily available in Bali.   

 

   2. We had unintentionally formed a trusted network of loyal registered nurses.
